Malik Riaz announces £50,000 reward for Pakistan team

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Bahria Town Malik Riaz has announced a reward of £50,000 for Pakistan team for winning the first test match against England at iconic Lord’s cricket stadium, ARY News reported.

According to details, Bahria Town chairman has said that the win will promote cricket in Pakistan.

Malik had earlier said that a reward of £50,000 will be given to Pakistan cricket team if they manage to win the first test at the historic venue. He was also watching the match sitting in the stands at the ground.

The chairman of Bahria Town has so far given away Rs. 7 million in rewards to the Pakistani team over winning different matches and series.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and many political figures, celebrities and cricketers have congratulated the Pakistani side over the historic win.

Pakistan defeated England by 75 runs to win the first test match of the series on the fourth day of the game. They lead the four-match series 1-0.
