Talking to ARY News, Riaz said, “Alongside the government, it is also our responsibility to extend helping hand to our people in this need of the hour.”
He said hospitals would also be established for the victims as well as distribution of meals among the affectees.
“We are already helping the drought-hit victims of Tharparkar.” He appealed that all affluent families of the country should aid the flood affectees in this testing time in Punjab and other parts of the country.
Earlier, Riaz had also announced Rs 200 million assistance for famine and drought-affected victims of Tharparkar and Mithi.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also called a meeting to review measures for flood affectees. The PM will be briefed on the overall situation and relief efforts.
