Police on Saturday presented both the accused before the ATC. The court after listening to the arguments of the counsels from both sides handed seven times death penalty to Muawiya and fined him Rs 3.3 million.
Muawiya’s accomplice, Abdullah was handed life term on nine counts and fined Rs 3.3 million as well.
Both the accused linked with a banned militant outfit were convicted of an attack on a worship place of minority Ahmadis back in 2010.
