LAHORE: A man along with his accomplices on Wednesday killed his former brother-in-law and his mother over enmity resulting from a marital dispute in the Shadbagh area, ARY News reported.
The deceased Sajid Ali Butt was a constable in the National Accountability Bureau. He had married Shumaila four months earlier in a love marriage but their relation had deteriorated over a short span.
As a result, his wife was estranged and had requested for a divorce settlement. This has created disputes and enmity between the two families.
Police said that Shumaila’s brother Baboo Butt wanted to seek revenge for his sister, and shot dead his former brother-in-law outside his home.
After the incident, the deceased’s mother Rehana also came out of her house, after which they also shot and killed her.
The dead bodies have been shifted to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem and are placed in the morgue.
The family members of the deceased said that the Sajid’s four-year-old niece Sania is missing. They alleged that the Police is not cooperating with them in the investigation.
