MANSEHRA: Three transgenders were killed when a vehicle plunged into a ravine in Mansehra on Wednesday, ARY News reported.
Police said that the vehicle was arriving from Haripur when it went out of driver’s control and fell into a ravine, killing three transgenders in the incident.
The transgenders were travelling to perform at a wedding ceremony in Tanawal area of Mansehra district.
Nine others travelling in the vehicle also sustained injuries in the incident. The wounded were shifted to a medical facility for treatment.
Police said that the incident took place due to the driver’s negligence.
Pakistan has one of the world’s worst records of fatal traffic accidents, mostly blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving.
