Maulana Fazlur Rehman meets PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday called on the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss the current political scenario, ARY News reported.

Both the leaders exchanged views on the ongoing political impasse and sit-ins continued in Islamabad for 27 days.

They deliberated upon ways to end the current crisis in the wake of protest sit-ins led by Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Islamabad. The calamity resulted due to torrential rains and floods also came under discussion.

Sources privy to the development said Rehman suggested the prime minister to accept resignations of PTI in the parliament. However, the government does not seem too much serious about taking any such move at the moment, added the source.
