In the role of a successful professional woman who supports her family like a son in ARY Digital drama ‘Main Bushra’, she convincingly exposes the way in which even such successful women are treated in our society.
Mawra playing Bushra, the lead character in the play had to marry a rich relative of her boss. The man Faraz (played by Faisal Qureshi) just uses her to level scores with her mother who refused her love interest’s hand in marriage due to a small reason.
Faraz divorces her on the very first night of their marriage and leaves her house. Moreover her marriage was arranged on the condition that Faraz’s mother will take care of rest of her sisters.
Mawra successfully brings on screen, a woman who despite being successful, had to bear all the hardships a household woman and a young girl has to go through in our cultural milieu.
