Meera, speaking to media while promoting her film at Lahore’s DHA cinema, urged every politician and student should watch her movie.
“My film is based on an untouched issue. Not only politicians but students from schools and colleges should go and watch the film,” the actress said.
It should be noted that Meera had earlier advised her fans to watch her movie instead of attending Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s public meetings.
The actress, criticizing the dramas produced in Karachi, said that the senior artists are not given the proper respect in the metropolis.
Meera’s new movie Hotal was released in the country on 13th May, 2016. It is said to be the first psycho-thriller feature film of Pakistan.
It stars Tariq Jamal, Baila Naz, Anees Raja, Nasreen Jaan, and Wiam Dahmani.
She won the award for Best Actress and the movie bagged the Best Film award in the 3rd Delhi International Film Festival 2014.
