Met department says ‘strong chances’ of Ramazan moon sighting on Wednesday

KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted about strong chances of visibility of Ramazan moon on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

In a statement the weather department has forecast strong possibility of visibility of the moon of the holy month of Ramazan on Wednesday due to the clear sky.

The moon could be sighted in 38 minutes duration after sunset and the sky will be clear in most of the areas of Pakistan at that time, the met department said in its statement.

The Royat e Hilal Committee Pakistan with its head Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman in chair, will meet in Karachi tomorrow for sighting of the Ramazan moon.

Provincial moon sighting committees will also meet at their respective headquarters to decide about the moon.

The committee will decide about sighting or not sighting of the moon on the evidences across the country.
