Met office forecasts pre-monsoon rains in next 2-3 days

According to ARY News, met office spokesman has said that pre-monsoon currents are penetrating in upper Punjab and Kashmir and a fresh westerly wave is also likely to approach upper parts of the country on Wednesday.

Weather spokesman has also said that two good rains of pre-monsoon are likely to occur in the country during the coming week.

The weather department has predicted rain/dust-thundershower under the influence of such meteorological conditions at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions and Islamabad from Wednesday evening to Thursday.

The met office also forecast isolated heavy falls in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions and Islamabad on Thursday.

Rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is also expected at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from Wednesday to Friday.

The met office has predicted duststorms in Multan, D.G. Khan, Hyderabad, Karachi, Sukkur and Mirpur Khas divisions.

A hot and dry weather was reported across most parts of the country during last 24 hours. Maximum temperature, 46 degree Celsius, was reported in Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu and Sibi districts.
