According to ARY News, former information minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mian Iftikhar, was produced in district court Nowshera today.
The father of deceased PTi worker Habibullah, in his statement on oath told the court that Mian Iftikhar was not linked with the murder of his son.
Police had arrested Mian Iftikhar and his gunman in the murder case of the slain PTI worker.
Sher Khan, a PTI worker, had registered FIR against Mian Iftikhar at Pabbi police station after which he was arrested by police on Sunday morning.
The court after statement of the father of deceased sent Mian Iftikhar in police custody and adjourned the hearing till tomorrow.
Iftikhar talks to media
After the court hearing Mian Iftikhar talking to media thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former president Asif Ali Zardari and others for their expression of support.
He said, ” I am a follower of Bacha Khan and believe in the philosophy of non-violence, even, could not think about murder of a person”.
He also thanked the father of deceased for his statement despite being taunted for ‘cowardice’.
