Mianwali: Death Convict dies of heart failure

The government of Pakistan has recently lifted six-year ban on executions in the country after a terror attack at Army Public School in Peshawar in which 144 people including 133 schoolchildren were killed.

Liaquat 55, a resident of Punjab’s Bhakkar district, was handed death penalty by a court in a murder case 10 years ago.

The death convict was died of cardiac arrest in Mianwali Central Jail due to the fear of execution after beginning of hangings.

Earlier, another death convict, Nizamuddin, was died in Sukkur Central Jail after lifting of moratorium on execution of death sentence.
