Military court to hear Shikarpur bombing case

KARACHI: The provincial government of Sindh has decided to forward Shikarpur imambargah bombing case to the military court, ARY News reported.

The government decided to send the case to military court for its speedy trial.

The decision to this effect was taken during a meeting between Sindh government high-ups led by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and members of Shikarpur Shahuda Committee of the Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) in Karachi on Thursday.

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon made this announcement at a press conference in CM House after meeting with MWM leaders.

It was also decided during a meeting that Joint Investigation Team will be formed to probe the Shikarpur blast case.

The families of Shikarpur blast victims had been staging sit-in at Numaish intersection for last two days over pursuance of their demands.

They had demanded the early arrest of culprits and speedy trial of the case through military court.
