Military courts to deal cases of target killers

KARACHI: A high level meeting in Karachi, presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Friday reviewed law and order situation in the city wherein it was also decided that cases of target killers will be dealt by the military courts, ARY News reported.

It was also attended by Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, members of Sindh Cabinet and heads of law enforcement agencies.

Addressing the meeting, PM Sharif expressed confidence that National Action Plan chalked out with the consensus of all political parties will curb terrorism in the country.

Referring to Karachi operation, Mr. Sharif said it has improved law and order in the city.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has urged Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement to resolve their differences to help establish peace in the province.

Meanwhile, talking to media in Karachi after visiting Karachi Stock Exchange today, he expressed concern over the killing of MQM party workers.  He said that within ten days, the formed commission will submit its report.

Nawaz Sharif said that the government will address reservations of all political parties in Sindh. He said that enemy could take benefit from the mistrust between PPP and MQM. He assured all possible support of the federal government for removing mistrust between the two parties.
