According to ARY News PPP leader said that during the meeting, establishment of special courts came into discussion but not the military courts. He said the political parties were told that special courts would hear the cases of terrorists and their funding organisations.

After announcement of a consensus over the national action plan for counter-terrorism two main opposition parties, the PPP and PTI, have expressed reservations over the formation of the military courts – a point of the counter-terrorism agenda.

Khursheed Shah said that the meeting had agreed to form a legal team to monitor the process of the formation and workings of these special courts.
