Minister seeks Imran’s role in eliminating horse-trading

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervez Rasheed has called upon PTI chairman Imran Khan to play his constructive role in wiping out horse-trading menace from the country, ARY News reported.

Imran must made it to the parliament and take part in legislation against horse-trading in Senate polls, he said during a media talk here.

The minister said country needs to be purged of this long-running problem. The new constitutional amendment for voting in Senate through ‘show of hands’ will benefit Imran the most, he added.

He claimed that the PML-N government was first to try banning floor-crossing during its government back in 1997.

He was of the view that horse-trading complaints were mostly received from the KP. Rasheed informed that senior PML-N leader Ishaq Dar was tasked with contacting Imran and hold talks on the matter.

PML-N government is strictly against horse trading, he mentioned.

He hoped that no protest will be staged in 2015.
