Minor killed in Lahore shooting

LAHORE: A seven-year old was killed when a bullet fired from an unknown direction hit him during a mehendi ceremony here in Lahore on Sunday night, ARY News reported.

According to details, a mehendi ceremony was taking place when a bullet, fired from an unknown direction, hit the child named Wasif due to which he was injured.

Wasif’s parents rushed him to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased’s father said that the child could have been saved but the hospital staff did not make serious efforts.

Police tried to shift the body to a morgue but the parents family members refused to get the post-mortem done.

Meanwhile, a teenager named Shaukat was killed in a road accident when a speeding truck hit him at Lytton Road.

The driver of the truck tried to escape but the people got hold of him and handed him to the police after severe thrashing.
