Misbah climbs up into top ten in test rankings

DUBAI: Pakistani test captain Misbah-ul-Haq once again climbed to top ten test rankings for batsmen, ARY News reported.

International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday released the latest test rankings.

Joe Root of England tops the batsmen rankings in test cricket whereas South Africa’s AB de Villiers and Kane Williamson of New Zealand are placed at second and third place respectively.

Pakistan’s Younus Khan improved in the rankings and is at sixth spot whereas Misbah-ul-Haq climbed to No. 10 in the test rankings.

In the bowler rankings, Dale Steyn of South Africa is at first position followed by Ravi Ashwin of India. England’s James Anderson and Pakistan’s Yasir Shah are both placed at No. 3.

Ravi Ashwin leads the all rounder rankings whereas Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh is at No. 2 and England’s Stuart Broad is placed at No. 3.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez is at No. 7 in the all-rounder rankings.

South Africa is at top of the test team rankings followed by India and South Africa. Pakistan is at No. 4 in the ratings.
