SHARJAH: Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-Haq has decided to be a part of Pakistan’s squad for the test series in West Indies, citing sources ARY News reported.

Pakistan is scheduled to play a test series against West Indies in April this year.

Sources reported that the skipper has decided to be the part of the team for the tour of the Caribbean.

His fate as the captain of the test team will be decided in the meeting of Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) selection committee within a few days.

Pakistan’s Head Coach Mickey Arthur said that he will meet the test captain soon. He said Misbah is a “great captain” and his services for the team are worth-mentioning.

It should be noted that speculations were arising that Misbah might step down as Pakistan’s test captain following the team’s dismal performances against New Zealand and Australia.

Misbah had announced that he will decide about his retirement after the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
