MQM alleges ‘massive’ rigging in Landhi union councils

KARACHI: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar has said 25 polling stations were completely occupied by rival political activists in Landhi, and alleged that fake votes were being cast there, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference at party’s Landhi sector-office, he said polling agents were terrified to lodge complaints of rigging.

He said millions of MQM voters are being disenfranchised from Orangi. “Our polling agents are not being allowed in polling stations”, complained Sattar.

He moaned that several complaints were lodged, but none of our 70 polling agents were provided any help, he added.

He read out names of union councils, where he claimed that massive rigging was underway.
