MQM announces protest against PTI on Saturday

KARACHI: The Mutahidda Qaumi Movement has announced to hold protest on Saturday against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for its opposition to the administrative units in Sindh, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club, MQM leader Khushbakht Shujaat appealed the civil society to gather at Teen Talwar, Clifton on Saturday at 3pm to protest against the PTI, for their opposition to formation of new administrative units in Sindh.

The MQM also staged a boycott from joint parliament session today against the PTI statement.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain also condemned those who were resisting new administrative units in Sindh.

PTI Sindh President Nadir Akmal Laghari in his recent statement had favoured formation of new administrative units in three provinces – KP, Punjab and Balochistan – and stopped short of supporting the same for Sindh.
