MQM bemoans PM’s neglect to visit Shikarpur

SUKKUR: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said army must not be overburdened with awarding punishments to terrorists, ARY News reported Sunday.

He made this statement while talking to media following inquiring after the injured persons of Shikarpur Imambargah blast at Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Hospital in Sukkur.

He said MQM was ready to jointly struggle with Majlis-e-Wehdat-e-Muslimeen in eliminating terrorism if the latter contacted his party.

This is the time that Sindh government must think beyond political gains and save the province, he added.

Regarding blast in Shikarpur Imambargah that claimed over 50 lives, Maqbool said terrorists were attempting to tarnish the image of Islam with such barbaric attacks.

He expressed his party’s complete support to operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants in North Waziristan.
