MQM blasts JI over its ‘anti-Karachi’ stance

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has said that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) was rejected by Karachiites over its anti-Karachi policy, ARY News reports.

MQM Raabta Committee, responding to the allegations leveled by JI against the party, said that the accusations towards the party and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) are clear evidence of their confusion.

JI leader Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman had yesterday said that there is no difference between ECP and MQM in Karachi as the voting schemes have been formed according to the party’s consent.

He had also warned of launching a movement against the election commission if the election is not transparent.

The party also said that JI did not provide employment opportunities to the youth of Karachi in its tenure. He added that Karachiites were not employed in any state institutions.

“Jamaat-e-Islami is adamant on making the youth of Karachi lose their jobs”, MQM said.

MQM RC also said that they will bring employment opportunities for the youth of Karachi and Sindh if they are given the mandate to rule again.
