MQM chief suspends party’s London Rabita Committee

LONDON: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has suspended party’s coordination committee (Rabita Committee) of London, ARY News reported.

Sources told that Mr. Hussain took the action after receiving some complaints about committee members.

The MQM chief has named Manzoor Ahmed as acting head of the Rabita Committee London, who will now look after the key party affairs.

The committee, which has been suspended, consisted of senior MQM members including Wasay Jalil, Nadeem Nusrat, Qasim Ali Raza and Mustafa Azizabadi.

The party will announce new members of the committee after intra-party meeting in a day.

In the past, MQM chief had also temporarily been suspending coordination committees of London and Karachi over some differences with committee members.
