In a statement issued on Saturday, MQM RC strongly condemned the raids at the residences of MQM workers and office-bearers by the police and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs).
The statement read that there are several political and religious parties in Karachi with complete liberty to carry out their political activities, but an unannounced ban is imposed on MQM alone.
The committee demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to stop the arrest of innocent MQM workers and to release the ones already under detention.
