MQM demands action against ‘ruthless killers’

KARACHI: MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi on Thursday said terrorists were carrying out their targeted actions with no one in authority to contain them, ARY News reported.

Talking to media after attending funeral prayers of his coordinator Salman Kazmi who was gunned down in the city on Wednesday, he said everyone was aware of terrorism being spread in the name of religion in this country for last 30 years. People from different sects of life – be they are ulema, lawyers, doctors or engineers – are being targeted in the city, he added.

Rizvi said, “There is no divide between Sunni and Shia sect.”

We strongly condemn such lawlessness and killings, and appeal the prime minister and law enforcement agencies to take strong action against miscreants spreading hatred in the name of religion.

He said Karachi was being pushed towards sectarian war.
