MQM founder, Farooq Sattar declared proclaimed absconders

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorist Court on Sunday declared Mutahida Quami Movement founder Altaf Hussain and MQM Pakistan convenor Farooq Sattar along with several other leaders as proclaimed absconders.

They directives were issued after they failed to appear in court after which they were declared as proclaimed absconders.

The cases pertains to delivering anti-state slogans, sedition and incitement workers after the controversial speech on 22nd August by MQM founder which provoked several workers to attack media houses including ARY News.

Their names have also been placed in several newspapers across Sindh. They have been ordered to present themselves to law enforcement agencies within seven days.

Farooq Sattar has been declared an absconder in various cases lodged at the Artillery police station. Other MQM leaders including Amir Khan, Muhammad Javed Kazmi and Zakir Qureshi have also being declared absconders.
