MQM holds rallies in solidarity with Altaf Hussain

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday held rallies expressing solidarity with Altaf Hussain in different cities of the country following recent diatribes by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan, ARY News reported.

Imran Khan’s diatribes against Altaf Hussain have drawn wrath from MQM workers and supporters as they took to streets in different cities on Tuesday, expressing solidarity with their leader.

During the rallies, MQM loyalists also chanted loud slogans against the PTI chief, Imran Khan.

MQM workers held one such demonstration outside the Islamabad Press Club and voiced slogans against the PTI chairman. They demanded Imran Khan to stop issuing derogatory statements against their party chief.

Meanwhile, a protest rally was also organized in Multan against Khan’s diatribes, during which MQM leaders said that workers and supporters of the MQM will not tolerate disrespectful remarks about their leader.

Another demonstration was held in Rahim Yar Khan outside the press club, which expressed solidarity with Altaf Hussain. MQM workers also organized a rally in Sialkot in favor of Altaf Hussain and condemned the statements of the PTI chairman.

The largest rally of this series was held in Karachi, which was addressed by the central leadership of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

During the rally, MQM leaders Dr Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghouri, Faisal Subzwari and others condemned the PTI chairman in strongest of words.
