MQM is a nonviolent party, says Altaf Hussain

KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain on Monday denied the presence of any militant wing in the party, ARY News reported.

In a statement, Altaf Hussain said that the MQM has no militant wing in its ranks.

“If someone has violated the law then it was his own personal action, not the party policy”, he added.

Altaf Hussain said that the MQM is a non-violent party.

He said MQM doesn’t want any confrontation with law enforcement agencies but the party have right to record peaceful protest against injustices met by it.

MQM Chief clarified that MQM has nothing to do with the people campaigning against Police and Rangers on social media.

He said conspiracies being hatched to malign the party.
