Speaking to media representatives in Karachi today, the senior MQM leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan clarified that even on ethical grounds; no one could ask them to resign from their assembly seats since the party never supported terrorism or terror promoters.
“Whoever is found involved in a crime, MQM will raise its voice against that element,” Izhar along with MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari told media today after the parliamentary party meeting.
He said that the people of Pakistan, particularly in Karachi, gave Muttahida a clear mandate to them for chanting ‘Long Live Pakistan’.
Only, if people could not continue their trust in MQM and its leadership, we could think about resigning, claimed the MQM leader.
