Rangers claim arrest of ‘MQM London’ militant

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh claimed to have arrested two suspects including a member of the militant wing of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) London secretariat, ARY News reported.

The duo were arrested after raids by the paramilitary force in the areas of Paposh Nagar and Liaquatabad, according to a press release issued by paramilitary force.

According to details, suspect Muhammad Abid belonged to the MQM and is allegedly involved in a range of criminal offences including murder and street crimes. He is also responsible for the killing of a member of the Qadiani community.

Another suspect Muhmmad Asif Ismail is also alleged to be involved in several cases of robbery and street crimes. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of both suspects. They have been handed over to police for further investigation.
