Prime Minister had called a meeting of parliamentary heads to take all political on board regarding formation of judicial commission on demand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to probe alleged rigging in general elections 2013.
PM Sharif informed about the bits of the draft of commission’s formation to the parliamentary leaders at the meeting.
Speaking to media after the meeting, MQM leader Farooq Sattar said MQM is the only party which opposed the judicial commission.
He said constitution does not provide any provision of judicial commission.
We voted against the formation of commission on principle grounds, he added. He said, “We have sought time from the prime minister for Karachi situation.”
Meanwhile, all the other parties expressed consent over formation of judicial commission except MQM.
