MQM respects PTI's right to protest in Karachi: Altaf Hussain

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief, Altaf Hussain on Thursday said that his party respects Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s constitutional right of protest and for this it is welcomed in Karachi, ARY News reported.

In a statement issued on Thursday evening, Altaf Hussain said, “Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has the constitutional right to stage protests, sit-ins in Karachi and that MQM respects this right”.

He said that every citizen of Pakistan withholds the right to stage protest in any part of the country.

He said that the PTI is welcomed to stage demonstrations in Karachi.

The MQM chief however appealed that the protest should be peaceful and there should be no unrest in Karachi.

He also expressed his hopes that rest of the political parties in Karachi will also have no objection on PTI’s protest in the metropolis.
