MQM takes back strike call after DG Rangers assurance

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) call off their strike on Monday after Director General Rangers Maj Gen Bilal Akbar assured investigation of the murder of MQM worker Muhammad Hashim, ARY News reported.

MQM had given a strike call in Sindh over the killing of party worker Muhammad Hashim whose body was recovered on Sunday evening from Jamshoro.

Sindh Rangers, after the strike call of MQM, in a statement, condemned the killing of the MQM worker and promised investigation of the
murder.

The statement also said that no one would be allowed to paralyze normal life of the city.

After the assurance from DG Rangers, MQM Rabitta Committee held an emergency meeting on Sunday night and decided to call off the
strike.
