In a statement issued from London, MQM chief condemned the extrajudicial killing of MQM worker Sohail Ahmed, while claiming that the law enforcement agencies with the help of some corrupt officers and Sindh government are targeting MQM workers in the name of Karachi operation.
He maintained that criminal elements and terrorists are being spared while MQM workers are being targeted.
Hussain said that the number of murdered MQM workers rose to 36 with the killing of Sohail Ahmed.
It must be noted that MQM already announced a ‘day of mourning’ on Thursday to protest the killing of Society sector Unit 64 Incharge Sohail Ahmed.
Sohail Ahmed’s dead body was found abandoned in an area within the jurisdiction of Mochko Police Station on Wednesday sending shockwaves among MQM ranks which was already protesting against the extrajudicial killing of its workers.
The party raised the issue in Sindh Assembly yesterday and after the killing of Sohail Ahmed, party’s Rabita committee termed Sindh’s ruling party PPP as ‘responsible‘ for the mess.
