MQM to withdraw resignations after committee’s formation: Mashhadi

ISLAMABAD: Senior Mutahidda Qaumi Movement leader Tahir Mashhadi has said his party would take back resignations only after the formation of grievances redressal committee as pledged by the government.

Talking exclusively to ARY News, Mr. Mashhadi said MQM was waiting for the government to issue notification for constitution of the committee. We had an agreement with the government in this regard, he underlined.

The MQM leader said it was decided that a five-member committee would be formed to look into concerns and complaints of Mutahidda over Karachi operation.

“We have been promised that such a committee would come to reality in five days.”

The body will comprise two representatives each from the government and the MQM, while secretary interior will also be a part of it, he added.
