MQM walks out of Senate session

ISLAMABAD: The senators of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) walked out of the upper house after Senator Tahir Mashhadi was not allowed to complete his budget speech, ARY News reports.

The lawmakers of MQM strongly protested in the house when Mashhadi was not allowed to complete his speech. The acting chairman of the Senate said that the MQM lawmaker will be allowed to complete his speech later on which they walked out.

On the other hand, priviledge motion was presented in the Senate against the Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA).  The motion was handed over to the concerned committee Sabir Baloch.

The metrobus project also came under fire during the session of the upper house by Senators Haji Ghulam Ali and Abdul Nabi Bangash. They said that insufficient amount has been allocated for the projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa whereas the people are not expecting any good from the budget.

The session has been adjourned till 04:00 P.M. on Monday.
