The SHC also directed Mr. Akhtar, who is also MQM’s mayoral candidate for Karachi, to submit two surety bonds of Rs 50,000 each.
Besides, Akhtar is also facing a case related to his party’s rally on November 26 rally, in which he and other party leaders violated Loudspeaker Act.
Other leaders whose non-bailable arrest warrants were issued are Haider Abbas Rizvi, Kamal Pasha and Nasreen Jalil.
Two FIRs were registered against Akhtar at the Sohrab Goth and SITE police under sections 123-A, 124-A of the Pakistan Penal Code, read with the Section 25 of the Telegraph Act and Sections 6/7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
