MQM worker Waqas Shah laid to rest amid sobs

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) slain activist, Waqas Shah was laid to rest in Shuhada Graveyard, Azizabad on Thursday amid tears and sobs, ARY News reported.

Funeral prayers of Waqas Shah – MQM activist who was killed yesterday during Rangers’ raid at Nine Zero – were offered at Jinnah Ground, Azizabad, which were attended by his family, members of MQM Rabita Committee and a large number of party workers and citizens.

Shah was laid to rest after the prayers amid tears and sobs.

Waqas Shah was killed during Rangers’ raid at Nine Zero, while his death remains to be a mystery, for it is not yet ascertained as to who fired the bullet which claimed his life.

A case regarding the killing of Shah was registered on Thursday with government as the plaintiff.
