Mugging incident leaves a DSP injured in Sharfabad

KARACHI: A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was injured Thursday evening in a mugging incident in Karachi’s Sharfabad area, ARY News reported.

According to details, a man tried to rob DSP Sohail Abbas in Sharfabad and opened fire upon resistance by the official.

The mugger along with his accomplices fled the scene as DSP Abbas counter-fired on him.

However, Sohail Abbas sustained a gunshot in his leg and was rushed to a hospital, where his condition was said to be stable.
