Murad Ali Shah selected to confront establishment: Nabil Gabol
He said that outgoing Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah did not say anything during the apex committee meeting, and could not question the decision being made by the establishment. Therefore, the PPP has decided to replace them with Murad Ali Shah to have some sort of confrontation with them
Gabol, who was also a member of the Muthaida Quami Movement (MQM), said that a JIT report of mayor-elect Waseem Akhtar was presented in less than an hour, while the JIT report of Uzair Baloch and Dr. Asim Hussain have yet to be made public.
He said that Akhtar will be the mayor of Karachi after the elections scheduled for 8th August. He also predicted that the MQM and PPP might reunite soon as allies.
He said that the MQM was responsible for the violence on 12th May, 2007 and it was known where they received the information. Gabol said that some political elements were expressing a desire for governor rule in the province.
