The former prime minister Aziz has stated this in his petition challenging the special court’s November 21 decision, ARY News reported.

Special Court hearing Article-VI case against General (retd) Musharraf had ordered the government in its decision on November 21st to inquire into the roles of former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former chief justice Abdul Hameed Doggar and former law minister Zahid Hamid in declaration of emergency in Pakistan in November 2007.

The petition of Aziz has been submitted by his lawyer Waseem Sajjad in Islamabad High Court again. The Registrar office had earlier returned the petition with objections.

The plea argued that the high court judges can hear the case as the special court functioning as a tribunal.

Justice Athar Minallah of IHC will hear the case on February 3rd.
