Since his return to the country in first week of March, Kamal has dropped a bombshell on Mutahidda Qaumi Movement by formally announcing his disassociation from the party and accusing it of indulging in violent politics.
As earlier scheduled at 3pm today, Anees Kaimkhani said press conference will be held at 7pm instead.
“We are going to give a big surprise today,” claimed Kaimkhani.
He also targeted MQM chief Altaf Hussain for his ‘autocratic leadership’ in the party and alleged his involvement in crimes besides having links with Indian spy agency RAW.
He also said to announce his party name on March 23 – Pakistan Day.
Following his first strong diatribe against MQM upon return to the country, Kamal has refrained from firing broadsides at the Altaf Hussain-led party in the same fashion and insisted he was focused on bringing about change in politics in Karachi as well across the country.
Former MQM leaders and Rabita Committee members Dr. Sagheer Ahmed, Waseem Aftab, Anees Kaimkhani, MPA Iftikhar Alam and Raza Haroon have so far joined Kamal, while sources say more leaders are expected to announce their support to the former Karachi mayor’s party in days to come
