Mustafa Khar's son involved in robbery, snatching: Police

LAHORE: Police officials in a press conference have said that Hussain Khar, a son of former governor of Punjab Ghulam Mustafa Khar, was involved in robberies and other crimes, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

DIG Operations Lahore Dr. Haider Ashrraf and SP CIA Umar Virk addressed a press conference at CCPO office in Lahore.

SSP CIA Umar Virk said that Hussain Khar along with his accomplices Ibrahim Cheema, Mohammad Fahad Zeeshan and Mohammad Anas Awais hit the car of Malik Shahid and robbed valuables from him and also drew money from ATM machine.

CIA Police with the help of CCTV camera traced the accused and recovered robbed valuables and the weapons used in the crime.

DIG Operations Lahore Haider Ashraf said that the accused are educated and belong to good families. They were committing crimes for adventure. They have also been involved in snatching of jewellery from women.

“Police will investigate the case without conceding to any pressure,” DIG Ashraf said.

He said two firing cases also registered against Hussain Khar at Johar Town and Kahna police stations of Lahore in which two people were injured.
