NA-246 by-election: Rigging at a polling station stopped after complaint, says Alvi

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Arif Alvi has said that the party put a stop to the rigging which was taking place at a polling station of NA-246 Azizabad constituency, ARY News reports.

PTI’s Alvi, speaking to media, stated that his party reported the rigging at Delhi College polling station to Rangers, who put a stop to it.

He added that the situation improved after the complaint made to the para-military force.

It should be noted that the polling for by-election in National Assembly constituency (NA-246), Karachi has kicked off this morning amid stringent security measures.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Kanwar Naveed Jameel, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Imran Ismail and Rashid Naseem of Jamaat-e-Islami are the key contestants in the by-poll among total 11 candidates vying for the seat.
