NA-246 by-polls: Ismail advises Naveed to go back to Hyderabad

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for NA-246 by-polls Imran Ismail advised his Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) counterpart Kunwar Naveed Jamil to return to Hyedrabad as PTI has already won the contest, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media after another rally in the constituency as a part of electoral campaign, Imsail claimed that he has received an amazing response from people of the area and the rally is enough proof that fear factor has died.

Ismail went on to say that Azizabad (the area that houses MQM headquarter ‘Nine Zero) no longer belongs to MQM.

Television host ‘Mani’ meeting people and distributing pamphlets as a part of PTI’s NA-246 election campaign.

The PTI rally witnessed some famous media personalities joining the party campaign holding PTI flags and walking hand in hand with PTI leadership.

Renowned television and movie artist Hamza Ali Abbasi joined the rally while the people of area witnessed Mani distributing pamphlets among them.

The NA-246 seat fell vacant after Nabil Gabol, who was elected on the ticket of MQM in the 2013 general elections, resigned from his seat after developing differences with the party.

A number of candidates are participating in the election with the most notable being MQM’s Kunwar Naveed Jamil, PTI’s Imran Ismail and JI’s Rashid Nasim. The by-polls are due to be held on April 23, 2015.
