NAB arrests seven custom officers over fraud charges

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday arrested seven custom officers over their alleged involvement in financial irregularities, ARY News reports.

According to details, Additional Collector Custom Aamir Rasheed Shaikh, former assistant collector custom Mohammad Tufail, former superintendent custom Khalid Mehmood, Inspector Afzal Dogar, Mohammad Akram, Shaikh Nadeem and Syed Ali Abbas have been accused of causing damages worth Rs. 18 crores to the national treasury.

NAB officials have stated that the suspects will be presented before an accountability court for hearing.
