National Action Plan Committee meeting commences

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is chairing a meeting of National Action Plan Committee in which civilian and military leadership of the country will be present, ARY News reports.

The committee will discuss strategies on how the action plan can be implemented against terrorism in the country.

The overall security measures along with the law and order situation will also be discussed in the meeting.

All provincial chief ministers, provincial secretaries, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and the Director General of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Rizwan Akhtar are expected to attend the high level meeting today.

All four chief ministers will inform the meeting about the steps taken to implement the action plan in their respective provinces, sources said.

PM Nawaz Sharif had announced to form the National Action Plan Committee to devise against anti-terrorism plan after the attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School in which 150 people including 135 children and nine staff members were killed.
