The move was widely criticized by different sections of society who blamed the city administration of being under ‘political pressure’.
The flag was hoisted upside down at government buildings and schools. State Minister Abid Sher Ali, however, took notice of the case, though he added that, “it is not a major issue.”
It may be noted here that national flag was hoisted upside down outside the National Assembly as well.
