LAHORE: President of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Lt Gen (retd) Arif Hasan said on Sunday that although national hockey team is not present in Hockey World Cup 2014 but it will be seen in action in Asian Youth Games (AYG) and Youth Olympics Games (YOG), ARY News reported.
A meeting of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) was held in Lahore on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Arif Hasan said that names of players will be sent to the organizers of Youth Olympics Games and Asian Youth Games before the ending of deadline.
“72-member squad of Pakistan will participate in Common Wealth Games, 20-member in Youth Olympics, 300-member in Asian Games while 19-member squad will participate in Asian Beach Games”, he added.
The President POA said that an important meeting with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will be held in June 19 at the latter’s headquarters in Lausanne and people of Pakistan will get good news regarding Sports in the country.
